Shot early afternoon in a local churchyard on Eastern Cyclamen, thought this might be a touch early with temps at 4c?

Cheers

The yellow bands look a bit too dark for Bombus lucorum which should be more of a lemon yellow and seem to push it more towards B. terrestris to me. It's never too early for either of these species I've had terrestris queens out in temperature of minus 4c. and workers right through the winter including on xmas day and males of terrestris in mid-March in Cambridge suggesting successful nesting through the winter. I'm still waiting for my first bumblebee of the year and would have expected one or two by now. Well done with yours.
