Ethiopia January 2019 - What raptor is this? (1 Viewer)

It's an Aquila, from memory Tawny was the default, with Steppe restricted to the uplands (Sanetti etc), but that is form my limited experience a few winters ago!

I forgot to mention the place: around the Sululta Plains not far from Addis Ababa. It's around 2500m elevation. Does that help? Thanks!

I suspect it is a Tawny, but I'm notoriously crap at identifying raptors - there are some excellent birders on here who should be able to confirm it for you shortly...
