Hi, I've successfully rescued many bird species in the UK and have always released as fledglings and continued to feed in the garden until they are eating well from feeders. I spend a lot of time in the garden so that it's their usual environment. I've rescued 5 injured greenfinch nestlings this summer and all visit the feeders, but live fully outside and are socialising well. The one I have now keeps flying into the house anyway possible and I always wake up with her on me or in my room. She transitioned from formula, to soaked seed, to seed very well and is comfortable with many trees in the local area. I don't feed her in the house at all and have even got the kids to feed her and not me, but she just keeps coming back. It's worth mentioning that she was only a day old with 2 puncture wounds and took more care than usual, but I never handle more than needed. She's not even trying to socialise with other birds. I've never experienced this and know she's not living her best life. Any suggestions?
