Which duck is this? Maybe a hybrid? It is very similar to a Ferruginous duck, but the black vertical stripe rump is missing. Bird was seen in Morocco south of Tanger, September 2024.

ferruginous duck for me. Perhaps a young one with developing colours. Second pic especially suggests that area is darker than the brown flank
