Fledgling blackbird (1 Viewer)

Hello , I would be grateful if anyone could kindly confirm if this is a fledgling blackbird? My daughter and I have observed it jumping about in our garden looking as if it’s attempting to fly . It hasn’t been there long . There is no obvious signs of injury. Will the parent be near by ? We appreciate any guidance Thankyou
Wendy

Hi Wendy and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. It does look like a juvenile Blackbird. The adults usually care for them for a few days to a week from fledging, then they're usually savvy enough to be able to feed themselves. Is he stuck in there or able to get out?

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
