focus wheel stiff. . Any tips? (3 Viewers)

Hi ,

I just bought a nice pair of Optolyth Touring 8x32 (brand new) but the focus wheel turned out to be stiff.. Is there any way to solve the problem without completely disassembling the binocular or adding repair marks on it?

Because I love this model and do not want to return it to the seller

If a focuser is stiff, I use two finder to turn it. Sometimes a focuser will become easier to turn over time.

Likely the grease is dry, unfortunately no quick fix here. Disassembly would be the best option.

Any luck with the prognosis of the stiff focus?

Thank you all for trying to solve the problem. I was able to dismantle the binoculars and it appeared to me that the old grease was incredibly petrified, I removed it completely and put new grease for it.
