Seen this morning overlooking one of the Butler Plaza Retention ponds at Gainesville, Florida.
Most "new" hawks I find seem to always turn out to be Red-shouldered so I could use some assistance
just in case this one isn't

This one isn't. Notice the "cummerbund" pattern of dark splotches across the belly. Red-tailed hawk.
