Hawke binoculars (1 Viewer)

I've been looking at both those mentioned and I believe its the front element of these that differs. I think the ED X has doublet obvectives and the Apo has triplet Objectives. Using triplets gives better colour correction than a doublet tho it does depend on who make them. The triplets are usually heavier too tho .
 
Hi apologioes but I have been trying to locate where I read the above with no success so far, if i remember where I saw it I will post a link.

Hawke's website doesn't give much to go on either it just says Extra low dispersion glass for better colour correction. They are only slightly heavier than the ED Xs which also have extra low dispersion glass so maybe it's not got triplet objectives?
