In recent days, the Lynx Edicions Internet Bird Collection (IBC) index (which follows HBW taxonomy) has been updated (perhaps to reflect taxonomic changes implemented in the imminent HBW15...?).

Fringillidae has increased from 135 to 144 spp as a result of new splits, but there are no surprises amongst the additions (and no splits of Rhodopechys or Carpodacus spp).
[The totals for the other Vol 15 families appear to be unchanged.]
