Can someone tell me if this picture is a Redtailed Hawk or a juvenile Bald Eagle? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the welcome and the quick answer. I took the photo two days ago in my yard in Coventry Rhode Island. The bird was feeding on one of my ducks and was frighten by my dog and flew into the fence getting away. After a couple of minutes it flew away.

A neighbor told my wife that they thought it may have been a juvenile Bald eagle.

As DHayden said, it's a red-tailed hawk. (It's a young one, hence the tail isn't red yet.) A bald eagle would be even bigger -- usually around three times as heavy and they look like a lot of that weight is in the beak and claws.

The clean white throat/breast and the dark belly-band of streaks across the mid-section are definite marks of a Red-tail. An immature eagle would have a much blotchier breast/belly without a well-defined belly-band.
