Can someone tell me if this picture is a Redtailed Hawk or a juvenile Bald Eagle? Thank you in advance.
Bob

Hi Bob and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I've moved your post to the ID forum, as they're better placed to be able to assist you with identifying your bird. It would help them if you could advise where and when you took the pictures.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Thank you for the welcome and the quick answer. I took the photo two days ago in my yard in Coventry Rhode Island. The bird was feeding on one of my ducks and was frighten by my dog and flew into the fence getting away. After a couple of minutes it flew away.

As DHayden said, it's a red-tailed hawk. (It's a young one, hence the tail isn't red yet.) A bald eagle would be even bigger -- usually around three times as heavy and they look like a lot of that weight is in the beak and claws.
