Hornsby Bend (Austin) question (1 Viewer)

Driving the narrow roads around the ponds I was glad I didn't come across a vehicle coming from the other direction! - I saw no "One Way" signs, so didn't think travel was restricted to one direction or another - how do you handle oncoming traffic on those paths with little room to pass without ending up in the drink?

It's a good question. A giant Fish and Wildlife pickup truck (which was going the wrong way) put itself in the drink going around my tiny Honda at Atwater's Prairie Chicken NWR once. He was able to get himself out though he was very muddy.

I've visited Hornsby Bend, but I don't think I've done one of the guided tours yet, or looked for spring bird migration birds there. Would this weekend's educational walk there be a good time to visit? I made a Spring migration page, for Austin's March birds, http://www.sheltx.com/year2011/2011Birds.html
Last year, I didn't see as many migrating birds once the end of March rolled around.
