HUMMINGBIRD ID REQUESTED - Sunset Park, Las Vegas (2 Viewers)

spotted this hummingbird in the dune area of sunset park this morning, in Las Vegas area of Nevada - thank you in advance for your help! Apologies for relatively poor quality: it was just a tad too far and the lighting was coming from the right so it wasn’t the best

I suppose the options would be between Black-chinned or Costa's

Based on the top of the head also appearing to have the same color as the throat, and a few pics where the gorget looks pointy I lean Costa's.

What were you thinking?

Google says Black Chinned hummingbird. I tend to agree, because of the location, and the fact the gorget (feathers around the throat) does not extend down the neck. Not 100% sure, so I'll see what others have to say.

Actually now I think it is Anna's hummingbird due to the gorget. Black chinned has a clean edge without that mutton chop look; but it is not quite so pronounced as in a Costa's.

This is between Anna's and Costa's due to the lower shape of the gorget and due to the gorget seemingly continuing up onto the top of the head. I will tentatively agree with Anna's because 0820 has a reflection which I think shows the correct color for Anna's

Definitely not Black-chinned with the gorget extending. I'm pretty sure it's Anna's also based on the shape of the gorget, hint of reddish and the body shape. Costa's always looks more compact to me.

Agree with all, and I think you can see that the tail extends past the wing tips. Not the case for Costa's. Very typical posture, shape and habit for Anna's.
