I have never seen so many swallows (1 Viewer)

Tonight, as the rain seemed to have stopped, I opened the door to look out and was greeted first by the sight of a great rainbow, then I noticed tiny birds [they were high up!] milling around, which I presume were feasting on insects. They seemed to be swallows.
I was just wondering if it is unusual to see so many, I usually notice about 10 or 20. I estimate there were around 50 ish. I presume they are building themselves up for their migration. We are near Strensham.
I hope they find good landings and they return safely next year. It is these humbling miracles that bring both wonderment and sorrow for the future of our only Planet home
