I want to buy a bird feeder with a camera. (1 Viewer)

I've come across a bird feeder with a camera, and it can be powered by solar energy. It captures images of the birds when they come around, which is exactly what I need. However, I'd like some advice from everyone first, should I buy it? here is link

In for the replies. I’ve been looking at one as well. Although given I live in the Uk I’d be taking a risk of not seeing any birds for about 364 1/2 days a year if I get a solar powered one😅

I’ve seen ones with WiFi and they look really good. Admittedly a lot more expensive though.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm thinking solar power might be more energy-efficient, and the design upfront allows me to put various types of bird feed. However, the idea of WiFi sounds appealing too; I'm considering the price.

Hi Sini ~ I know this thread is four months old but I just saw it as a new member here. I'm answering in case anyone else is interested or if you are still thinking about it. I have that camera feeder and it's been great fun. My only problem is that there is just the one pile of seed that is dispensed and all was well for a while with birds taking turns feeding. Then some house finches found it and decided to take over, sitting in the middle of the seed for long stretches, chasing chickadees and goldfinches away. I think part of the problem is that I put in a very expensive mix that makes too many birds happy and some just don't want to share the really good stuff. I think if you find the right seed mix, that could help. As for myself, I'm going to put out several more feeding stations of tube feeders and socks to make things fair for everyone. Oh, also, cleaning this camera feeder is much more of a challenge than a regular feeder.
