I was out checking out the birds and gators in my complex and this little one was in the grass along the bank of the pond by my house. Just not sure and I looked on the Florida Wildlife site.

Difficult to get a proper handle on either tail- or bill-size/shape, or colour of gloss... Given southern Florida + white iris, presumably common grackle (rather than boat-tailed grackle).
 
Comon Grackle Atlantic Coast type. Also known as Purple Grackle having a Blue/purple/violet irredescence on body and wing coverts
