iPhone app for Europe? (1 Viewer)

I'm traveling to Italy next month, and I was hoping to find an app that covers the area, or at least a general European app for birding. Does anyone know of any good ones? It would help if the app was available in the US iTunes Store. Thanks!

Using Itunes put 'birdguides' into the search box and buy 'birds of northern europe'.

It's an extremely good app but can be a bit obscure as it insists on using full names and won't find a 'goosander' which it says is a 'common merganser'.

Very comprehensive covering the lifecycle of the birds and and breeding etc.

To get Goosander set the language to “English” (= British English) rather than “English (US)”.

I agree, “Birds of Northern Europe” is an excellent app, easily the equal of any of the North American apps in everything except coverage since it doesn’t include “the rarer” vagrants. The only other problem with it for the OP's purposes is that it doesn’t cover Italy specifically & will therefore be missing the relatively few species (at least I think they're relatively few) found in that country but not north of the Alps. But it will certainly have most Italian birds & I personally wouldn’t dream of visiting Italy without it.

Would this title cover most birds in Spain as well?

I'm looking for an iphone App that will cover birds in Spain. This seems to be the only one offered on the US iTunes site.
