Is there anything Starlings won't eat ? (1 Viewer)

It is not that I don't enjoy their mid air battles and their amazing repertoire of noises, but I was kind of hoping to get a few more exotic birds like maybe goldfinches or coal tits in addition to these colourful characters. Whatever I put out to feed the birds, the starlings turn into gannets and decimate. I have peanuts, fat balls/coconuts, sunflower and lately meal worms, but they do not last long once the starlings get cracking into them ! I have even seen them on the niger seed !! Any suggestions as to how I might encourage diversification ? I even added some fat coconuts away from the other food but the only thing that happened was more starlings appeared !!
I know to the more experienced here there might be something obvious I am missing, and if there is, please tell me :)

Thank you
