I stayed at San Isidro lodge , great for birds and insects , here are just a small fraction of the moths seen.
1-Melese castrena
2-Phaio aquiguttata
3-Eyed Silkmoth - Automeris unfasciatus/ grammodes.
4-Clown-faced Tiger - Idalus herois.
5-Rimless Ermine - Trosia incostata .
6-Black-veined Yellow --- Pseudischnocampa nervosa
7-Exquisite Emerald - Rhodochlora exquisita
8-Aricia Silkmoth - Rothschildia aricia
9-Hemeroblemma laguerrei
10-Symphlebia sp.

Great shots! Good to know about such places also. I had similar luck in November at Owlet Lodge in northern Peru, which is at a similar elevation (circa 2300 m). Even had a few of the same species in your photos. The other regular bird tour accommodation where I have noticed a great variety of moths and other insects at lights is the lodge inside Mount Kinabalu National Park in Borneo – elevation 1585 m. That was in 2019.

They have a moth sheet set up which brings in the birds in the morning as well .
My favourite mothing accommodation is Stephen’s Place at Frasers Hill ,Malaysia .He was a BBC wildlife cameraman and is a wealth of knowledge about the local fauna .Great food ,birds ,monkeys and moths .
