Is this a juvenile Pied Flycatcher? Or something else? At first I thought is was a Spotted Flycatcher (based on frontal images). Difficult to ID the very young birds. Photo taken in Southern Finland on July 16, 2024.
yes its a juvenile Pied Flycatcher.
Please note real black wings, white fringes to tertials, and broad pure white wingbar on greater coverts. All this excuding a Spotted Flycatcher.
A rare juvenile Collared Flycatcher is excluded by lack of white on the primary-bases.
