Pierre Martin Rémi Aucher-Éloy (1792–1838) was a French pharmacist, botanist and collector in Asia Minor (Turkey), the Middle East, Egypt and Persia (Iran) (1830–1838). He lived in Istanbul (1830) and died in Isfahan (Iran). He wrote Relations de Voyages en Orient de 1830 à 1838 (1843).

In this case I would have expected him 6MI18/R63 - Registre d'état civil. microfilm des registres des baptêmes, sépultures. (mai 1786-1792). HOPITAL. - Etat civil : microfilm des registres... p. 290 of 543 but couldn't find him there. In fact we find him on 6MI18/R63 - Registre d'état civil. microfilm des registres des baptêmes, sépultures. (mai 1786-1792). HOPITAL. - Etat civil : microfilm des registres... p. 435 of 543 and the year is indeed 2. October 1793 in Blois

Many sources Bibliography of Natural History Travel Narratives or https://plants.jstor.org/stable/10.5555/al.ap.person.bm000000297 are indicating 1792. But of course we can find as well Pierre-Martin-Rémi Aucher-Éloy (1793-1838) - Auteur - Ressources de la Bibliothèque nationale de France

As the birth record is 1793 I would clearly go for that year. Feel free to add anything of value to this thread.
