Larks in Rajasthan (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Sorry for the poor photos, the birds were quite flighty. Taken in Desert National Park, near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, India.

I think they're Greater Short-toed Larks, which would be a lifer for me, could someone confirm? I'm not too confident on larks. There were also Black-crowned Sparrow Larks and Bimaculated Larks around. Other possibilities in the area could be Indian Bushlark and Desert Lark.

Thanks!

Agreed. When I was there in the winter there were huge flocks of Greater Short-toed Lark all over the place.

Thanks so much! I'm sure there's loads more that I missed - I only had one morning with an impatient driver/guide who knew nothing about the wildlife at all. No bustards!
