Lesser whitethroat ,Aberdeen, NE Scotland (1 Viewer)

Mark Lew1s

My real name is Mark Lewis
This lesser whitethroat has been present at girdle ness for a couple of days now - it's hyper elusive and it wasn't till this morning that I eventually got decent views, and critically, a few photos.

To me it's showing features of an 'Eastern' lesser whitethroat:

overall pale and sandy tone to upperparts
brown of mantle extending up nape as far as the crown
apparently wholly white outer tail feathers and a pale spot at the tip of P5

I've not been able to note any PP length or finer structural detail - but on the pic at least the bill looks tiny

I'd welcome any thoughts on this bird!
