Young birder from Dundee
Sorry for the bad shots, these were taken today at Riverside Nature Park, Dundee. Is this a Little Grebe (behind the swan of course)

Although the bird in the second photo appears to have a rather pointed crown the pattern om the rear of the head in the first shot and the shape and weight of the bill are right for Little Grebe.
