Looking for my first spotting scope (1 Viewer)

Hello! So recently I’ve been thinking about getting a spotting scope for birding. I usually bird in coastal areas where sometimes birds are just too far away to identify with 8x binoculars. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for a spotting scope that would be good for birding. I’m looking for one that’s 20 - 60 or more. My budget is around $1000. I've had my eyes on the Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85, but I'm not too sure how it performs.
