It is the end of June here in Perth and there isn't much to eat in the countryside for the seed eaters.
Out in the so called 'wheatbelt' that feeds mirriads of parrots of many species, the crops are just showing a few inches above ground.
It will be many months before those crops will come into harvest. A time when all the bird's meals are in abundance.
What happens about now is that flocks in their thousands of several species of parrots migrate to the city where there are the things they need.

In the photo above that I took this afternoon, there are two species of parrot shown here that need food to see them through to the summer from humans that can buy seed at the supermarket and put out fresh water in bird baths and containers.
These are the 'Long- Beaked Corellas'and the 'Pink and Grey Galah.'
They are very disimular, but get on like they are the same species.
I have studied the mannerisms of both these parrots. The greedy galahs who are wife bashers and push their way into any food tray that is presented by gulible humans are not like the bigger white corellas who congregate and [noisely] share.
