Moving to Spain: voluntary (field)work, any tips? (1 Viewer)

In december 2006 I'll be moving to Sevilla for 1 or 2 years. Once I've settled in I would like to do some (voluntary?) work involving birds/nature/conservation etc. I am not a professional birder, however I travelled a lot and am gradually learning more just by buying the birdingguides and observing (just came back from a wonderful trip to Sri Lanka).
To get to know Sevilla and improve my Spanish I would like to do (voluntary?) work in or around Sevilla. Does anyone have tips on websites or useful adresses? I don't know where to begin. I am 38 so a 'student'project is probably not exactly my thing anymore......
I remember reading an article about a batproject in Sevilla but cannot find any info on that. Anyway, all information is very welcome. (I travelled in South America for 6 months so I do speak basic Spanish).

I cannot remember the geography clearly, but there is the seasonal migration monitoring that takes place near Tarifa -- how far is that away?

Tarifa is not around the corner but interesting enough. I was also considering Cota Donana which would involve spending the night there. Thanks anyway, I'll look on the net for more details. More tips are still apreciated!
