Just a quick post to echo what many photographers already know: the (lightly used) Sony RX10M3 I recently purchased - from a photographer who had upgraded to the newer, improved model of Sony's large-ish bridge camera (the RX10M4) is proving to be a superb photographic tool for documenting both distant avian life (birds) and closer critters (insects, among others). Its excellent AF (autofocus) capabilities don't match those of its newer sibling (the RV10Miv), but both cameras share the same superb Zeiss lens... and the results, so far, are uniformly excellent.
I'm attaching two photos here - one of a pair of Canada Geese, swimming in a local (Southern Oregon) creek, near where I live; the other of a honeybee that, after dipping her head into a reddish flower for pollen, now has what appears to be a red cap (of pollen!) atop her head. Both photographs have been lightly cropped, and were processed lightly in Lightroom (LR).
