new camera advice (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this enormous site - you could get stuck in here for hours!

Anyway - I'm planning on buying a new camera for occasional digiscoping and some macro. I have a Swarovski HD-ATS60 scope and would prefer a set-up that works handheld. I know I'll not get the best shots - but I'm not aiming for superb photography - more record shots and and quick and easy use.

I currently own a Sony Cybershot 3.2mp, but this does not have a macro function and I find it extremely hard to line up with the scope and get any sort of image.

Can anyone recommend the best camera for the job?

Cheers

Pete

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't use macro focusing for digiscoping anyway. And it IS hard to line things up by hand. :-( So don't dismiss your current camera right away.

OK thanks - I'd want to use macro separately anyway.

Cheers

Pete
