New lens for bird habitat photography! My first wide angle lens. (1 Viewer)

I just received a Vivitar 28mm (42mm equivalent on my 1.5x crop sensor) f/2.5-f/22 wide angle lens for my old Nikon D300. My only other lens is a 70-300mm that doesn't allow for wide angle shots of the habitats of birds well. I tested it out and it has no scratches or any dust inside it. Everything moves smoothly and its very light. I got it for $20 with a lens cap. Quite happy with it so far. It's very nice to have such a wide range of apertures to try out. I'm bringing it out into the field this week around Morro bay and some vineyards in San Luis Obispo. I'll be sure to share some photos in the gallery over a few days. Let me know if you have any tips for landscape photography!
