Hi there

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00fm6v7

There is a new series of Natural world on Tuesday 11th November 8 - 8.50pm on BBC 2

Titus the Gorilla King

Starting with Titus the well known Silverback gorilla for his part in our lives. He is now the grand old age of 33 years old.

He has appeared in Gorillas in the Mist film, and has become quite a celebrity in his hay days.

There is an article in next weeks Radio times about his life.

After Natural World there is a short 10 min program called 'Wild' about New Forest Badgers

It does not say what the next few Natural worlds will be about. We will have to wait for the subject to come along each week.

Again all programs are on BBC i-player.

hi there

Program is on BBC i-player (some upsetting scenes)

I watched this particular program tonight, and it was heartfelt watching. Titus has such a unique history, and it was explained to the viewer how he has conducted his life.

Titus has not had an easy life at all. At least he has reproduced a lot of extended family members. He has had lots of babies, and that is seen as an unusual number for a Gorilla to father

It is sad that his own son is competing for leadership in his own group.

Next week the program is about the migration of the Whale shark

The short program which followed about the Badgers was just as interesting. It showed a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker half way up a trunk of a tree, and that was a joy to see. :-O
