Hi all, I just retired and looking forward to more time birdwatching. I would love some advice on good pair binoculars under $500. Thanks for any tips: I been looking at Nikon Monach 8x10?

Not sure where you are in Australia Mooch but always better to try binos in your hand as how the 'feel' and how well they will suit you will be quite subjective.
Can be easier said than done in Australia. though.
Nikon Monarch not a bad start though.
