Nikon P7 10x42 vs Bresser Condor 10x50 / 10x42 (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone, new here and looking for a pair of 10x binoculars. These 2 seem within my price range at the moment but not sure which one will be best? Both seem very similar to me.

Has anyone done this comparison?

Cheers :)!

Hm, what type of Bresser? The old Japanese made Kamakura version?
That one is excellent. It will not be as bright or color neutral as the P7 and the close focus on my Bresser Condor 8x30 is 5 meters but build quality and sharpness is definitely superior.
I would not buy another plastic Nikon anyway. If I'd ever get another Nikon, it needs to at least have a magnesium body.
On my P7 the diopter ring came loose after using it maybe 5 times. Not recommended.
I never tried the Bresser Condor in 10x50 however and BTW - almost all of the newer Bresser binos are made in China. The old porros are all often good however. Especially if it's a J-B133 with BaK4 prisms.
But I also have a BK7 Bresser "Everest" which is also not bad and pretty sharp in the center. I even used it for some stargazing as it's so sharp.
A word of caution on those old porros however - they can often be misaligned and they were made by so many different Japanese companies that you can often have two binos, looking similar, sold under the same brand but being made by different manufacturers and performing very differently.

Sorry I should have put a link to the one I was looking at:

I'm glad you said that about the P7 - definitely not good if they started to break so fast. I'll take them off the cards.

I've been keeping an eye on Marketplace, but binoculars dont seem to come up much here in Australia on those sites.
