Nocmigging - birds heard 'tonight' (1 Viewer)

I’m not sure a thread like this exists and I think it’s a good idea. Would be nice to keep up with what is happening during the night elsewhere…

Thanks, yes. Maybe one 'sticky' 'Nocmig tonight' thread would be enough?

I hear some stuff that I can't identify. If other people post what they've had, it gives me a chance to check Xeno Canto and see if their birds were the species that I could hear. For example, I had what appeared to be 3 flocks of duck (or one flock circling) that made a chirpy, bubbling, chattering call and I can't ID them.

Very quiet over Aberdeens west end these past few nights. Just a handful of redwing and a lone ringed plover competing with the territorial common and herring gulls, and oystercatchers.

The last few days have seen my best run of Whooper Swans and Common Scoters in 5 years of nocmigging. Last night was a bit quiet, but there was a noticeable increase in thrushes - 26 Redwings and a Song Thrush. South Yorkshire.

Another productive night... Whoopers 21:26, 21:58, 23:17, Common Scoters 02:30, Curlews 02:46. Golden Plover 03:18. South Yorkshire.

I keep looking on Trektellen but there aren’t many nocmiggers on there.
