Is this a juvenile, or a female? If it is either, then it could be a Little Spiderhunter or a Sunbird of some ilk. The picture was taken in Udon Thani, North East Thailand. I'm not an expert in Thai fauna and there's an awful lot of species in Thailand that I am only just starting to come to terms with, so please excuse me being "the dumb dumb" when it comes to Bird ID in Thailand.

It's a tough angle Tony but having taken another closer look, the combination of even yellow underparts combined with extent of white tipping to undertail, in particular, to outermost tail feather (R6) would more likely indicate female Ornate over Purple. Apologies for the confusion.

Whenever I go to Nong Prajak Merlin sound ID tells me there's a purple sunbird, never ever seen it, not even heard it, but Merlin is sure.... every time...
