I am new to birding and my wife and I are spending two months in Penang. These incomplete pictures are tantalizingly close to be able to identify. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Moth were taken along the eastern coast of Penang Island in the "mudflats" area

I would very strongly suggest if you are in Penang for two months that you contact JungleWalla bird tours and you will learn a great deal. We have used them several times - yesterday in fact. The two very enthusiastic local birders were Nature Conservancy volunteers and priceless for identifying calls, knowing where we should go and discussing habitat changes.
