Pied hornbil - a grand finale for a great birding day (1 Viewer)

Well, it has been a great birding on my recent bird guiding day tour in Malaysia. We started the day in a mangrove park, then continued to a fish farm and up to the hill. Made a quick stop for lunch in town and later carry on with a drive stop at an estuary and a drive on a bund along the mangrove. Thereafter, we drove towards the rice field and edge of a peat swamp. In the end, we stopped at 2 open areas surrounded by oil palm plantation. that's where we spotted a pied hornbill flying towards our direction and landed on the ground - a little more than 10 meters away from where we were standing.

Quickly aimed my scope at the hornbill and shoot a movie of it.
