Today, November 1, I snapped this raptor, looking forward to its identification
Location: Mount Abu Raj, India

Looks to me - An Indian Spotted Eagle.

* Bwahahaha sorry - I shall leave this up as an explanation and for amusement - I was looking at another picture on flickr, and got muddled, putting the ID here for flickr and likewise for Bird Forum.

It is a buzzard, but which one? I'm familiar with the common, long-legged, and honey, but this one seems different!

Buteo sp, would be a pale-ish Common in western Europe, but I don't know what the situation is with similar species In India!
