I live in a medium town in the north east of England.
I have 4 feeders on a tree close to my living room (mixed seed, Niger seed, peanuts & fat balls. Now the feeders are busy with goldfinch, tits and sparrows in the summer; and yet in the winter when the garden birds must be most needy the feeding activity reduces drastically. I re filled the feeders on Monday and yet they have hardly been used?
Why is this

Well, tough question but any Reason's like; they might have found other sources of food else where. Out of intrest have you done any changes lately in the garden? Have you cut any tree's down or bushes? As shelter is a massive factor in a birds life .I'm sure they will turn up soon tho.

Could be lots of reasons and this is the fun of figuring it out. Do you have water by the feeders? sometimes Water itself will bring the birds in.
