Radipole in June (1 Viewer)

Roy C

Occasional bird snapper
We are renting a cottage in Radipole in mid june for a week. I have never been to the RSPB reserve there - will there be any photo opportunities there during this period? I need to determine if it is worth taking my gear including the 400mm lens.
Thanks Roy C.

You've got 2 reserves in the Weymouth area...Radipole Lake and Lodmoor..both may offer photo opportunites....Radipole has Cetti's warbler.
Both reserves are close to the suburbs and suffer from the wrong sort of attention...ie yoofs. Be careful if taking your camera gear as it may attract the wrong sort of attention.
There will be the usually wildfowl at Radipole...Lodmoor offers breeding terns and maybe little egret.
