Razorbill - Poland (1 Viewer)

Hello

Today in the stormy weather I saw this bird along the Baltic Sea in Poland... At first I just thought it was a female Long Tailed Duck, but after looking in the scope, I felt pretty sure it wasn't, due to different wing shape (wings seemed not so wide and more "thin" than a Long Tailed) and different type of wing beat / flying path.. But due to very strong wind and water in my eyes from the wind, it was hard to say for sure..

I quickly grabbed my camera and took a series of shot.. Unfortunately it was already passed me, so I only have from side/back..

Can anyone give a clue to if it's just a Long Tailed Duck (female) or it could be a Razorbill/Common Guillemot?

I apologize for the poor image quality on forehand.. :)

Thanks

I agree with you and Butty,
you can even guess a good head pattern (white with a dark spot on the rear cheeks) for a Long-tailed Duck.
Its often (but not always) a bad idea to rethink a jizz ID at a seawatching
