Hi one and all as a bird lover I’d like to share my sightings . One flew over the farm by Dunston junction 13 back in July . I then saw two over back bridges by Baswich . Sunday gone I saw another two at Salt . Looking for road kill by main road . Hope this helps with new sighting in the area . 🙂

Hi Ducsti and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Kites seem to be expanding their range so well the last few years, even I manage to see one or two pretty regularly now. Beautiful birds, aren't they.

Welcome to Birdforum. I'm not sure where you are as I don''t know where Dunston junction 13 or Baswich or Salt are. Red kites are certainly spreading though.

Hi! Great sightings! As for Baswich and Salt, it's awesome you’re sharing those locations. It's definitely worth checking places like that more often, especially when spotting such cool birds. Maybe some of the other members can confirm your sightings in that area. Cheers!
