Have just seen red kites over Round Green Hightown area.Haven't seen any since the autumn.A lone one for about 10 minutes joined by 2 slightly smaller ones circling around andgliding over woods for about 15 minutes. Can tell they are kites by forked tail.A pleasure to watch them.

hi Gertie,
Couldn't agree more, they are a real pleasure to watch, and listen to as well. I am lucky to have roosting and breeding Red Kites in the field behind our house and it is lovely to wake up to their calls. I never tire of watching them!

There were two just off the Lower Luton Road this morning - in fact they are nearly always there.
