I'm trying to get comfortable with identifying sparrows and want to be sure I'm not making mistakes. Are these sparrows a Swamp Sparrow and a Savannah Sparrow? If it is a Savannah Sparrow then what age and form is it? -thanks-Jeen
#2 is a Song Sparrow. Savannah Sparrow typically has a yellow supercillum, shorter notched tail, pale bill, and has a paler plumage with usually finer streaking than Song (Song Sparrows are overall more reddish-brown with thick streaking).
