Thought this one (seen today) was possibly an Ash-throated Flycatcher, but Western Wood-Pehee has been suggested to me?

I had a whole post on why I thought it might be a Dusky Flycatcher based on the lack yellow visible on the lower mandible, which good images of a Gray Flycatcher should show. However, right at the start of the video the bird gives a clear dip to its tail that seems unrelated to its bathing. Such tail-dipping is characteristic of Gray Flycatcher, so that is my choice. There is just not enough detail in the images to see the mandible well.

Image in the video seems to pretty clearly show extensive yellow on the lower mandible on my computer. As noted by rkj, the tail dip is a good feature for Gray, as is the extensive white outer edge to the tail and the seemingly very shallow (top to bottom) bill shape though I am a tad wary trusting this from the video and images.

And sadly, it has not returned as yet. The camera is pretty well monitored.

If it does return, I will try to remember to bump the thread.
