Slow old Seawatch at Seaford this morning, most of the interest was generated by a bird sitting on the sea, quite far out in choppy conditions and it dived occasonally, eventually those gathered (all three of us) came to the conclusion it was a Long-tailed Duck in summer plumage, they are quite variable!! Full story on the blog plus a few pics of other things that went through including an Arctic Skua, a pair of Black-throated Divers and various waders and wildfowl!

Murphy’s Law of Birding: Rarities always appear when you are not able to go birding!
The annoying thing was, I was able to have one day off this week, looked at the weather forecast, conditions looked the same both days! Booked the Wednesday off!! Wrong day for sure!!!!
