Sigma 18-250 for Canon (1 Viewer)

I am considering the purchase of a Sigma 18-250 lens for use on either my Canon 40D and 50D. However I am beginning to wonder if this lens will work fully on these two cameras. Can anyone confirm that it would be fully compantible. Thanks. Roger
