Sirui va-5x QR plate and Fieldscope (1 Viewer)

Can anyone chime in and advise whether the quick release plate on this head can be used on the Nikon fieldscope ed iii 60? The baseplate does not have hole for the pin on the QR plate. I don’t have access to a shop that has the Sirui hence the query.

I have that head and it comes with 2 size screws (I cannot remember the measurements, but they are the 2 standards). I do not see it not fitting.

Thanks. I was wondering about the locating pin, but I see that it is retractable and shouldn’t interfere with mounting the scope.

You can use the included plate, but without a functioning pin, it will have a tendency to work itself loose from the scope. When I use a head such as the Sirui VA-5, which is Arca compatible, I always use a plate with an anti-rotation lip. Here is my favorite inexpensive option (Note that it comes in several different lengths to suit your needs--pick the length that allows the scope to be balanced).
