Suet balls vs fatballs? (1 Viewer)

Is there a difference and if so is one preferable to the other? I get suet balls from Walmart.com, but they are a little pricey, and sometimes hard to come by? Any other reasonably priced online sources for the USA?

Yes. Cheap "fatballs" have very little suet but lots of rubbish eg, sawdust, used vegetable oil, etc to bulk them out. You get what you pay for including birds. Proper pure suet is far more beneficial to them.
Better quality suet blocks / balls will attract more birds on a regular basis....

I buy suet cakes from Amazon. They are the cheapest I've found. Well, occasionally I can find them at Walmart for cheaper but the Walmart cakes are of less quality.
