The Strawberry Duck (2 Viewers)

I need some help trying to identify a strange duck on the river at Rawtenstall, near Burnley in Lancashire, England. It is pinkish in colour with a red/pink bill. It doesn't have unusually long legs and doesn't appear to have a tail. It does have a strange squeaky quack and sounds like a dogs squeaky toy. It is presently knocking around with a couple of mallards, but it does have a ring on its leg. Any ideas??

You wasn't drinking in The Strawberry Duck in nearby Turton before this happened :-O :-O
Albino mallard domestic type thing either that or a rubber duck is my guess

Funnily enough when I saw the thread title I thought of the pub! Used to go there a lot in the '80s, is on the list of my All Time Favourite Pubs (quite a big list B :) )! Don't know what it's like now though.

No idea what the duck is either :)
