Travel tripod recommendation? (1 Viewer)

For UK birding I still use my old Slik D3 tripod that lives in the boot of my car and still works fine. But for travel abroad, I'm loojing at buying something more compact and lighter weight. For an upcoming trip to Ghana is like to travel light so could anyone recommend a lighter weight model that is compact enough for hand luggage but that still has good build quality? Many thanks.

Check out the Slik Pro CF models. They come in 6 series, 7 series, 8 series, 9 series: choice of either 3 or 4 sections. They go up in weight due to larger diameter legs, also giving higher stiffness. Choose the one that best fits your needs.

Also, the Gitzo 1545 goes on sale often (at least in the US) and I like mine.
